This is by far the best arc reactor I have seen. Any chance you would be willing to make a version that supports a ring with inside diameter of 52mm and outside diameter of 66mm? That would be for a neopixel 24. I tried scaling down to about 73%, but the inside diameter was too big.

Beautiful work! I'm waiting on parts to do one based on your design. Would you please consider adding your Arduino code to the file? I'm sure some of us who are rusty using their IDE would really appreciate it. I know I would.

Hi ! How many meters of copper wire you take for this nice project ? Thanks and sorry for my bad english ;)

Salut ! Combien de mètres de cuivre as-tu utilisé pour ce projet ?

What program did you draw this in?

that's what I use. will print it so I can measure to make a back for it thanks

Could you tell me wich is the diameter of the led ring? Inside and Ouside. Thanks!

Sure :)

Inner: 7.55 cm
Outter: 8.75 cm

Thanks for sharing! I'm having trouble finding an LED ring that's the right size to fit in the crystal ring. You said 24 LEDs, but who makes the one you used?

Already printed 4/5 and ordered the LED ring ! Everything printed fine, except the lower grid and caps because of my bed that's not extremely flat, but had good result printing it separately ! What size of screws did you use ? Will post pictures when finished :)

Hi :)

As stated in the description, I used 3x M3 screw, 20mm long

Nice design, thanks a lot for your work :)
I'm printing one at the moment, I'm a bit struggeling with the main crystal top, the center part connection with the outter part is very thin and fragile, i broke 2 of them when removing support, suggestion for rev2 would be to make this connect point a bit thicker :)

Thanks again!

Noted, I had no trouble on my side tho, the support materials broke off easily without damaging it :)

I've made support Z space 0.2mm on my third attempt and removed them without issue this morning :)

Would be killer if ya did the Triangle Variant of the Reactor. Something about your design is pretty well thought up and I dig the use of the NeoPixel Ring. Feelin' of using that instead of soldering together a cluster of LEDs. (ALthough, I probably would use two or three rings just to receive maximum Arc Reactor brightness, ya know?)

Will probably print this once I get my hands on some clear filament! (But if ya did make the Triangle Version, would start slicing and printing the moment ya uploaded it! Haha.)

I actually like this version more, but If I manage to find the time I could probably try and design the triangle one.

Regarding the use of multiple rings, it would make it very bulky, I find that the achieved brightness is more than enough :)

Please post your print result if you print yours !

Love the design - do you have any schematics for the wiring you use and the Arduino model etc? My plan is to have a connector on the back that lights it up when I slot into a base containing the Arduino and a battery pack - I was just wondering how you combined the LED ring wires with the crystal core wires such that the Arduino could operate both

Very nice :)
Je pense que je connais une pièce :)

héhé ;-) encore merci à toi pour la formlab :P

so looks like you still running wires to it, was there never a spot made for a battery and switch ?

No because I use WS2812b LEDs which needs to be driven by an arduino board.

It can easily be modded to add space for a battery and switch tho

Do you think it could be modded to fit a battery AND and Arduino pro mini inside, without it looking too bulky?

it depends on what you consider being bulky :-)
