Printed this cruiser a few days ago on a anycubic photon. The ship turned out great, The only bit that turned out a bit odd was the cannon turned out a bit flimsy. Now I’m not sure if this was due to the fact that I don’t think I was able to get supports to sit under the cannon properly.

I’m also certain that the wings on the lower hull need no supports on the photon due to the ways they are modeled. But I’ll give it another print just to be sure.

I’ve attached a picture of the Corsair battleship, cruiser and destroyer printed at full scale. To give some perspective.

Thank you! That's very helpful. The wings shouldn't need much support, except for the extensions from the back. The cannon very well may be flimsy, especially in resin, I haven't quite worked out how thick it needs to be yet.

I’d say if you double the thickness and adjust up and down from there, can’t go wrong with bigger guns. And of course I bee happy to give it a test print . If I can get a few spare hrs on my ender3 I run of a print and see if the thinness of the cannon is just a resin printer thing.

It could quite easily be my printer printing things too thickly! Before I replaced the control board the thickness of parts was all over the place. What I try to avoid is the starship equivalent of "baby animal syndrome", where the guns are so big the thing looks unbalanced. There's still quite a lot of room to make this one bigger, I'll give it a go when I get a spare moment.

Awesome file. Creality cr 10s, 0.1 mm layer height, 20% infill, full overhang support

That is a gorgeous print!
