Thank you for this awesome design. Just finished printing. Cards fit beautifully. Have posted a picture

How about sleeved cards? Will they fit?

Sorry, I didn't design for cards in sleeves.

Thanks for this item, really helpfull, is there a version for standard cards?

Sorry, not yet.

This is an excellent card holder. I liked it so much, I designed an insert to hold it and all the other parts. You can see my insert at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3495916.

Love this print, but I want to give a disclaimer so others won’t be caught off guard like I was. Please be aware that this tray will ONLY work with the smaller USA edition cards, not the standard size playing cards that come with the Germany edition or the numerous expansions. It still looks cool and I will use it anytime my family or friends play the USA version, but other than that it’s pretty much useless as the slots and deck spaces are too small. Also, I had one of the rail ties break off upon removal so be careful!

Are the Germany edition cards the same size as the Asia expansion cards? I have long only had the USA edition. Then this Christmas I got the Asia expansion. I could try my hand at another card tray if the Asia expansion cards match the Germany edition cards in size.

The Germany and Asia cards are the same size (I have the Asia expansion so I could check); however, the Asia expansion only comes with the board and route cards, not the train cards. You could use the USA train cards that fit inside the tray, then the larger Asia route cards that go in the center slot would have to stand up vertically rather than lay on their side as the slot isn't long enough.

Yes, that is how I use my tray with the Asia expansion. To make a new train card tray I think I would have the five exposed over lap a little or be at a steeper angle. I don't want the tray to be so wide that it doesn't fit on a typical build plate. I'll have to ponder on this a bit.

SO after a few unsuccesful attempt I managed to print 2. I broke the corners of the first one while handling it. they are extremely fragile. Also this is quite a difficult print. The rails beams are tiny so your printing surface has to be perfectly level and even. Would you consider making a stronger one ? I pointed the fragile corners in the pic attached

so make that 3 broken trays.
Would you mind reinforcing the standing corners ?
I tried to add a bridge in the long side using sketchup thanks to the file provided but I suck :p

Done. See version 6. Also see my note 20181209 about printing in ABS. This may help you.

Thank you very much. I'm still on PLA stages as I perfect my prints. I appreciate your efforts and will try again ! Thank you !

I made a train tray to go with the card tray. See here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3330055

Thanks for building my thing and telling me about your print. This inspired me to make this train tray.

Hi, Do you know if this will accept sleeved cards?

It will if you scale it up in cura

This is sized just for the cards in the set. Sleeves around the card will not fit.

Increase the Y axis by 35 mm using a uniform scale up and it will be the correct size you need.

Fantastic idea! Do you have any plans on doing an identical one but for the 1910 expansion size cards?

I don't have the 1910 expansion yet so there are no plans.

Great concept. Is this for the small ticket size or the larger 1910 expansion size

This is for the small 1.75" X 2.75" cards.

Nimli, thanks for this. When attempting to print, it says the units of measure are undefined. Are these in mm or inches?

This is in mm.
