Thanks! The 26 tooth gear is 11mm in diameter. The height of the gear (along the axis) is 11mm.

seems like it will work only with 3mm filament. am i wrong?

It's actually designed to work with 1.75mm filament, the secondary shaft is tilted slightly to close the gap between the two drive gears. The adjustment screw changes the tilt. It won't work with 3mm filament without modifying the filament path.

I was having a hard time coming up with names, that would have been a good one except for the trademark issues :)

Unlike the Bondtechs, this one is direct drive so it doesn't have the benefits of a geared extruder. It is cheap though.

In your opinion, hich dual drive extruder works best?

It really depends on too many factors to know, if I wanted a lightweight extruder, I'd probably buy a Bondtech BMG or a Titan Aero (I haven't used either or seen them in person). I really like the Bondtech gears with a geared motor I'm using on my Eustathios, but wanted to try something different (and cheaper / quieter).

Since weight isn't an issue for my current use case, I'll probably use this one (Quadstruder K7) or a similar variation since the form factor works better for me, but that's specific to my printer. If the form factor worked out better, I'd probably use the Fostruder H4, mostly because I like the simplicity of dual motors, but the two motors make it a bit awkward in constrained spaces. If you need to do anything that really stresses an extruder (0.15-0.25mm nozzle, metal filaments with a 0.3mm nozzle, bad filaments, etc), I'd go with something that can use a large NEMA17 motor or uses a geared dual drive extruder (like the Bondtechs). The amount of torque available probably makes more of a difference, any of the dual drive systems should have more than enough grip.

I've been wondering if there are differences in how much slippage there is as a function of backpressure with the different styles drive gears (hobbed, knurled, gearhead), but I would have to do some testing to figure that out.

There are also differences in resolution, but I'm not sure how much difference it really makes, especially in a bowden system using decent stepper drivers.
