I like this design, but doesn't it probably wobble like crazy with z-hop enabled on prints?

No, I haven't seen any noticeable shaking on either the end of the camera or in the video. I have 8 links in my arm. You can see the z movement in the video, it just looks like the bed is moving up and down. No shake or wobble.

I'm printed so far 5 ball_socket_link and 2 ball_socket_link_support with 10% infill at 0.2 height. I used a brim for ball_socket_link_support since it kept falling.

Is there a trick to fit the pieces together? Use sandpaper? I tried pushing super hard and they still do not fit.

Thanks for this nice design. Hope to be done printing in a few days so I can install the new camera. :)

Are you using PLA or PETG? I have found they don't work so well with PLA. PLA is too stiff, and looses its bite quickly, causing them to not stand out. PETG seems a little more slippery to me for assembly, but holds its bite longer. I also think the .3mm layer height adds deeper ridges, letting them lock together better. A brim could also make them harder to snap together, make sure to get all the brim completely off.

I print them with at .3mm layer height, with a .2mm initial layer. They also really don't need any infill.

It looks like a great design, with an exception that the tension on the X belt might be different for everybody so the part which mounts on the motor does not work for any of my mk3s,

would be nice if there was a source file, and also a revision cutting a few mm away from both parts which are touching the motor

The mount was designed before Prusa released the adjustable tensioner. I have printed out the new parts, and will make a new version once I get them mounted and see what is going on. I have delayed slightly, because Prusa needs to send me new hardened rods, didn't want to tear it apart twice. I told them they could send the rods when the powder coated sheets came in, back when we were expecting them a month ago....

Yep, Thank you.
in a mean while I chopped mine in meshmixer will get back once some revision is posted

Finally got my new rods from Prusa installed, and the new R2 X motor mount. I have published an updated R2 revision for the Cable Guide and Ball Mount. They fit my setup just fine, but I would appreciate some feedback on how they work for anyone else. Thanks!
