Hey man can you do the number 8?

The wall thickness on letter "S" seems to be not equally on all walls. Is that intended ?

Really cool project. Thanks.
I just started to print a couple :)

This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen in Thingiverse.

Can you make an Ampersand?

Can you please add a hashtag? i really need one

It's great that you made the alfabet en the numbers.
I only see the nummer 1 - 5 and 9.
Hope you have the numbers 6,7 and 8 too.

I haven't actually printed one of these out yet, but I was wondering how it might look as a dual extrusion model? With the base in one colour and the "fins" in another make them pop. Any intention of trying that out?

I could do with a Z!

Me too! Gonna try a sideways N...

Me too!

Me too. Too bad there isn't a Z, now 4 years later ...

newbie question. when i import the files into makerware they are standing up rather than flat on their base. im guessing this will cause print problems. i cant seem to find out how to lay them flat in makerware. any suggestions?

You've probably resolved this by now, but what you need to do is to select the object and use the Rotate button on the left of the screen.

would love a $ if you ever get the chance. also when are mini letters being released?

good day sir, do you happen to have the letter Z.....? tnx tnx ;)

hi ac_1604. I thinik the letter N, may just work.

Do they all stand up, or just lay flat?

just added a number 9!

LorenIPSVM, did you get my message about the letter "S"? Can you change the tallest fin so it has the same 1mm width for the whole length? Toward the top and bottom of the letter the width of the fin shrinks and some slicers won't print the part because it is smaller than what a single shell will print.

I just added S2 which hopefully solves the problem!

Thanks for letting me know! I am gonna fix that for you!

AWESOME! I will check it out and report back but so far it looks like it will work!

Yes, the new "S" works great! I noticed the other day that the "B" does neck down a little bit and it ends up making a sharp looking edge at the highest fin. Not a problem and the letter still comes out fine but I thought I would mention it if you ever had a chance to modify it.
I also wanted to let you know I have made over 20 name plates with this font! My wife doesn't want anything but this font for every gift I make for our friends. This "thing" has literally made my wife happy that I bought a 3d PRINTER!

Nice- I'm going to print "3-D Printer" in very 3-d letters.

However, there is no "3", too bad that the E doesn't look like a 3.

I just uploaded numbers 1-5- also the B backwards might make an ok 3

rotate the N 90 degrees

Will this actually work as a bad heatsink?

hehe I bet if you tried it it would have little positive effect until 300degrees when it melts into goo

Would be amazing as a customizer

Love this font and wanted to create the customizer to help people use it more quickly.

Also, I noticed that the M was a tad smaller than the rest, which I fixed with some scaling. Might have been a side effect of translating the .stl to .scad however.

Heatwave Lettering Customizer

I totally wish I knew how to do that! The iterations are pretty simple- I just draw a line letter to fit in the square and offset it to a 1mm wall thickness, then radiate 2mm both directions to another 1mm all thickness just 2mm shorter- repeat and repeat

Congrats on the feature! Is this based off of a specific font? I really want to make an ampersand.

thank you! it is not based on any font I am aware of- I just made the simplest line letter that fit into a square and offset it into waves of descending height. I will try to make ampersand and numbers this week to add to here!

I love these i'm going to try them out on the CNC and see if i can make functional letter heat sinks!

amazing work. love it!

This looks great! Good job.

I'm interested to know what other numbers there are apart from 0-9

I just turn the N sideways hehe

Are there numbers? Can you include some numbers if there arn't? Just 0-9 would be enough

I will try to post numbers this week!

This is an awesome design! Thanks for sharing!

could you do some numbers?

cool! cast those in alu and have nice heatsyncs
