What is the superior hole for?

This thing is not really well designed. The way the leveling probe and duct are oriented makes it impossible to use without bending the hitend wires at an extreme angle, which caused my thermistor and cartridge wires to have their sheathing come off.

What size bolts did you use to assemble this? Can I scavenge the bolts from the stock assembly?

My e3d bowden coupler is flush to the top of the heatsink. How do I make your design work without the threaded couple shown in your photos? Thanks for your help!

Feel free to make a remix. I no longer use this printer so I am unlikely to make any further changes myself. However, if you look at the renders you will see that the base model of e3d v6 I use is the one with flush bowden. It should work just fine as is.

Way too tight when trying to use both the sensor and cooling duct.You have to bend the heater cartridge cables at a 90 degree angle, I'm afraid it's going to short.

I didn't bend it at all. I let it go straight past the light-ring/cooler and the up on the outside.

Unfortunately it doesn't fix the stock hotend with stock level probe, and my steel one is mangled.
However, it's such a nice design and it printed so well in ABS that I sketched out a probe spacer I will be uploading soon under remix.

Need to wait on fan and find some hardware before I comment if the spacer works (stock auto level prints 2cm mid-air before tweaking anyway so it's not critical.)

Is there a way to mount the stock blower fan that came on the printer? And did you have to modify the firmware at all to use the v6?

Does this have better performance versus the bent sheet metal frame that comes with the Anycubic Mini Kossel?

good question... my sheetmetal hotend was completely out of alignment, so in my case yes. It's why I designed this. But, trial and error is best m,ethod of finding out for your particular machine.

Can I also print this in PLA?

Or does it have to be PETG?

I use my PLA printed one daily. The cooling ring is a little discoloured by now so will likely reprint in petg but it has held up quite nicely.

Any problems with warping from heat using the polymax?

Any chance of a version to take V5 hot end?
Or perhaps could you please share the fusion file, I might like to have a go and modifying for V5?

I am sure it is but I dont have one to work with... Feel free to do a remix using the files provided!

Great fit, but I am not really getting any part cooling using a 40x10 mm fan.

Yeah... Well I ended up using a 4020 fan which works well but I have also designed a remote air module for this which you can attach a huge blower to if you want to.

Anyone got a link for a LED halo ring. Not sure what to get.

There is a hole in the top ring for a cable tie... I bunch all together there and then also to one of the struts.

how do get the wires to the heatblock and thermister to clear for the level device?

I will take a picture of how I routed mine and upload it tomorrow. It is fairly simple. The heatblock has to be at a slight angle if that makes sense.

I can but it may be a little while as I am in the middle of a product launch. I am glad you like the design, it took a long while to make it. The difficulty with a 360 parts cooler is that you may not be able to use the stock autolevel sensor.

I don't actually have the Auto level with my kit. which one are you using? maybe I should add that and worry about the part cooling latter. thanks.
