This minimalist design provides a functional, practical storage solution for small things as well as being... fun to fidget with on your desk / bench / table etc. because it can be balanced, wobbled and spun around.
This is a super easy print with no support required. However, raft is recommended to ensure good build plate adhesion due to the thin contact area of the lower edge with the build plate.
Great to use yourself and as a unique gift for almost anyone. And, they look great printed in any colour. At standard scale the Fidget Ball Container is 75mm in diameter, so has a surprising amount of space inside, but it can be uniformly scaled up / down to suit your storage needs (just not too small or the wall thicknesses will become too thin and weak).
The fun part is that it rolls around but can be balanced by the weight of the things being stored inside it. This lets you change the position of the things inside (i.e. shake around etc.) which will change the position / location of the opening. It can point straight up or be over on it's side. Tap it and you can wobble it or spin it around. You can have lots of fun fidgeting with this and it also has a practical purpose.
Please refer to the images and print setting instructions for additional information. And, please post images of your Fidget Ball Containers in use for other members to see.

PLA / 2 Shells / 50% or more infill recommended
Using a raft is recommended to ensure good adhesion due to the narrow contact surface with the build plate. Do not use automated support. No support should be required on a well set up accurate / precise PLA machine with a filament cooling fan (necessary to deal with the extreme angles at the top of the ball)
Print in the orientation as the file is provided (i.e. opening flat down on the build plate)
Just remove the raft and it's ready to use...
You can store all sorts of small things in the Fidget Ball Container... add some and play with the balance to adjust the opening position... tap it so it wobbles or spin it around.
Have fun with it!
