What filament is that? Love the color. Also is it pla?

Thank you, it was just natural ABS. PLA has a similar color available.

Fantastic! It turns out really well!

if its not too much plastic ill print it in glow in the dark

I would also love to print this all in one go. (unsplit) I'm slightly worried about printing it split apart, only because I have not looked up the best way to put peices together.

May I suggest if printing with ABS, you can use Acetone or a mix of Acetone and melted ABS to make a slurry to adhere pieces together. I find this to be best since it melts the pieces together.

Any chance of getting the files un-split, or just split to left and right? I printed this before, and had a hard time getting everything lined up and glued. I have a bigger printer now, and would like to print it in bigger sections. Thanks.

This is awesome!! I would like to print your piece! :D Do you have a 3D printer?? or do you know who can lend me the service? If anybody can print it and send me it, I would be pleased to pay for that.

i know this is 11 months later, but check out either makexyz for local printers, or use something like 3dprintingpricecheck, which links through to various makexyz pritners, shapeways, and others.

Mr Fireman says please use LED tealights in plastic candle holders. We're busy enough, thanks :)

How does the acetone gluing process work?

I'm assuming you just paint it on both parts and hold together while it dries?

If you're using PLA, just warm the parts with a blowtorch or lighter flame and push them together. Instant weld.

That is exactly it, just brush and paint Acetone on the two parts, then quickly press them together for a couple minutes.
