Filing is required as this design uses friction fittings
Amount of filing required exactly will depend on the accuracy of your printer.
After all parts are printed, remove any supports that you have used
A quick filling will be required around any area of "dock.stl" that was supported with PETG to remove any excess support material that remains.
Next "USB Case.stl" needs to be fitted into "dock.stl"
Most of the filling will be on this part along the grove that that fits into the tongue on "dock.stl" The accuracy of your printer will fully determine how much filing is required.
Simple smooth the tongue and lip out until minimal friction is felt lowering the part into the dock groove. Dont force the part in or it will be very hard to remove, At the same time if should not slide easily, we are looking for a friction fit.
The left and right bumpers are press fit into the cutout channels on the dock. The are installed in the inside of the dock. Once pressed in, work them to the outward possition to allow for the maximum sized phone. Providing you cleaned up your support material they should slide under easily.
Insert the USB cable into the USB housing. Lower the housing so the grove is 1/2 way down into the grove.
Plug your phone into the USB connection. And guide the phone down with the USB plug to set the height of the connector. Don't push the rear of the phone too hard or you may find it lowers the connector slightly too far. If so it will need to be raised manually afterwards.
Guide the bumpers into the phone to set the correct width,
Remove the phone, and reinstall / adjust check your fitting.
The phone in the car will be inserted at an angle while in the center console, so it might seem a little off when its being tested on a table.
Press the dock into your center console
Make sure its seating fully to the rear, its a snug fit.
No double sided tape should be required
Plug the USB cable in and then your phone into the dock.
The center console is not square, its angled towards the driver
Room has been allowed for set screws (I am not using any)
Drill a small pilot hole in the back of the dock for the USB case (4mm or less)
Same with the bumpers, you have room from the bottom to install set screws if required.

But any similar shaped USB cable should not be an issue for USB C or lightning

25cm / 10" cables seem to be a good size, any shorter may not work.
More tested cables:
Works but need the plug to be sanded as its too wide, should take less than 5 min with a file to get it to fit nice.

Sadly no Universal round USB-C holder will be made as dimensions are just different enough between vendors to cause issues with this project.
