Awesome files! I attached him to my shoulder with magnets for GenCon, everyone loved him! Just need to add the lenses next...

Hi, stunning file!! Does the head sections need supports?

thanks. sadly the head will need supports. you could do supports starting at 75 degrees

Brilliant thanks!!

i used a clear hemisphere that I found at hobby lobby. it is a clear Christmas decoration

What did you use for the main lens?

Thanks for sharing!

So I’ve just finished printing this and it’s awesome! I’ve used M5 threaded inserts for joint articulation. Some feedback on the model would be to separate the round sensor eyes and antenna inserts as this would help with the finishing.

Hi there. Are you able to post where you got the M5s for this? I am looking to build it and I think i would prefer to use these. I can't seem to find any at the local hardware stores...so i thought maybe i could try my luck online and hopefully be able to order individuals as opposed to a pack of 100.

I’m in Europe so got them from OBI.

great idea on using inserts. I will change the model to make it easier. thanks for the feedback

Did you make a cap for your clear plastic pipe you used for the stand?

i printed with a translucent filament and found the pipe at my hardware store. the top has a cap the bottom doesn't

what infill % would you recommend for this model?

I do 40% but I have seen that %20 should be enough and will make it lighter

is this to scale? Great work..

it is pretty close. thanks

wonder if i can make this into a drone and have it follow me around at cons...

I'm looking into it. I will vacuform some shells and try it out

Was thinking the same thing.

awesome! keep us updated por favor!

I can’t seem to find the spin pin listed in the instructions

sorry about that. I just added the part

Hi! I'm printing up your file now. Curious what you used as pins for all the leg articulation joints? I could not find a file for it.

I updated the model.

I am using a .25 inch pins. so the joints are friction joints. I am working on a better joint system

I will be uploading the new legs this week. I am implementing 3d printable pins

cool so the legs are fold-able?

yes they fold and bend, but they don't fully collapse, next rev will actually pack so it can be mounted on a stormtrooper back

Any idea of the timeline when the next revision will be available? I'd love to print it to be able to fit to the back of my stormtrooper armour.
