Make sure before printing, that you scale it to the height you want. Ie, 15mm, 25mm, 28mm, etc.
A fantasy magical woman character with a wand and a magic orb, created in Sculptris with help from some of user DutchMogul's Sculptris files, and then further customised with sculpting and Blender.
This is my first sculpted 3D fantasy character, and is the main character of a solo, coop, or competitive, free-to-print and play, stealth-fantasy 3D board game that I am designing. The character is Princess Robin, who in exile is known as Robin Spellhood by the people. In her right hand is the Wand of Shadows that (if she can master its powers) grants her sneaky magical abilities, like being able to snuff out candle flames from across the room, while in her left hand is the Orb of True Sight which allows her to see a birds-eye view of the current board game level, seeing the movements of all the NPCs in the area so she can plan her movements and remain undetected.
If other people like the model, they are welcome to print it out or modify it for themselves, for their own fantasy miniatures gaming. I plan to release all the files for the Core Set of my board game for free, and if anyone wants to play it, they'll be able to download the appropriate files and assemble a copy of the game.
If you want to read any progress, I'm blogging about it on my fantasy miniatures blog:
I painted it using Citadel Games Workshop paints and washes.
It is based on user DutchMogul's free Sculptris files - a body to build from, and some clothing parts to decorate, then I did a bunch of personal scultping alterations to create the final STL product's appearance. Finally, I shrunk a magic staff from DutchMogul's OBJ weapons pack so it was only half as long but still as thick, to create the wand, and added a sphere in Blender for the Orb of True Vision.
I printed it off so that the round base is 15mm wide, and the character (including the base) was about 24.8mm tall I think.
