Motor mount for a NEMA 23 motor onto a C-Beam Linear Actuator kit from Open Builds. I thought that the aluminum spacers and 55mm screw seemed a little flimsy, so I beefed up the motor mount and gave it a slick new look. I reused 4 of the 6 screws from the original build instructions, and replaced 2 of the 20mm with 30mm.
Appears to work great, testing begins tomorrow!
Uses 2 M5x30mm screws in place of 2 of the M5x20mm that are used to attach the C-Beam end plate to the extrusion. Remaining 2 screw holes are for the M5x55 screws that would have been used for the aluminum 40mm spacers. 1 remaining M5 screw and nut hold the last motor mount screw in place on the front of the machine.
I needed to attach the coupler to the threaded rod before sliding the mount into place, as I didn't have access to the set screw to tighten the rod.
