can you make a camera holder for the logitech c920? that would be great. I love your PruLight

Hey Merlin2k,

I'm glad you liked it! You should be able to combine this c920 gopro mount thing with the PruLightMount from the PruLight. Unfortunately I don't own a c920 and I am not planning on buying one but the PruLightMount should be gopro compatible.

C920 gopro mount

Thanks for answer.
Do you have a picture where I can see how the angle of the camera is? I mean a shot picture with the camera. I would like to use Octalapse and I'm not sure if the camera should look better from the front. what do you mean

Hi Merlin2k,

unfortunately cameras are currently down for renovation. I installed two cameras for each printer. The camera on the PruLight is supposed to show me if there are any issues and gives me a birds eye perspective on the printer. I chose an SQ12 wide angle camera for that purpose. I also installed an SQ11 camera on the bed to capture the print for time lapses.

I have one video on YouTube showing the time lapse of printing the bed mounted arm first (regular) from the arm and then (octolapse) from the PruLight position. But for this video I used the not-so-wide-angled SQ11 cameras: Make. Break. Repeat: Prucam Time Lapses (YouTube)

Hey JM, one more thing, printed out the 'PruLightBarV6.stl' and it fits with the original 'PruLightArm.stl' and 'PruLightMountV5.stl' (so the dimensions of those parts all fit together).

However, the 'PruLightClipperV5.stl' and 'PrulLightCornerV5.stl' seem to be a little oversized.

I printed with the default PrusaControl.app infill of 20%, so not sure that is too stiff, should it flex to wedge the corners and clippers?

Inner dimension of the 'PruLightArm.stl' is about 11.50 mm
Outer dimension of the 'PrulLightCornerV5.stl' is: 12.30 mm
Outer dimension of the 'PruLightClipperV5.stl' is: 12.40 mm

No big deal for me, I will do some sanding, just a heads up.

Hi Gordon,

guess I'll have to review that particular part as it went through quite a few iterations and I probably lost track of them all. Le later bars on CR-10 and Ender I think I installed without corners? The clippers were meant to be slightly oversized but at 1/2 mm I guess that's too wide. Apart from that I could design some kind of spring mechanism nowadays. Will take time to tackle this one, though.

Thank you for the thorough measurements and feedback - I'll look into it when time allows.

First, thanks for the designs, exposing the honey comb fill pattern looks great.

FYI for the Prusa i3 MK3, the frame is slightly thinner, so the 'PruLightArm.stl' grips on the frame are not a tight fit. I have added some plexi shims and that works. Will get exact dimensions when I am back at the printer.

Hey Gordon,

glad you like it and thank you very much for the heads-up. As soon as I have the dimensions I will add an iterated arm version just for the MK3. Did that recently for the PruCam camera arm.

Thanks again and cheers! JM

Hey JM, here are the details:

Mk3 frame thickness is: 6.4 mm
Shim I am using thickness is: 1.5 mm
Printed interior dimension of the 'PruLightArm.stl' grips: 8 mm

Shim could be a little thicker, but it works for me and the math works :-)

Hi Gordon,

I'll get right to it then =D
I'll go for 1.6 mm an just add that much in the back.

Done. Thanks again! Cheers! JM
