Did you notice any improvement in print quality after installing this?

It can only help. It removea the variable of your z axis wobbling forward and backward. Especially if you have a normal cr10 or s4 or s5 with a bigger bed size and mass.

For me it was to be certain the z axis was 90 to the base, as not to print on a taper moving up. And everything being square. Once you kbow your z is perpindicular. You can work on making your x gantry 90 to the z axis, which sgould gurantee your bed and x are all parallel, and not printing parellelagrams.

My biggear issue with my cr10 mini was my z rod bound really bad bevause the z axis wasnt square. That helped some, but i also had to move mt z motor off the extrution and used a different mount to adjust. Between that and this mod ive had rwally nice conaiatant prints all the way up to 300mm tall. Done a bunch recently 200+ anywhere from .2 ti .28mm layers

Great thank you!!! I have a CR-10 Mini too. I'm not printing a lot of tall things but a more rigid Z axis wouldn't hurt I guess (I don't like to print too slow). I have a Raspberry Pi camera mount attached to the bed on the left so I wonder if only one brace on the right would be good enough. Probably not the best option to make everything square as you rightfully mention. Have to think about it...

I just zip tiesld a web cam to the one rodm and slide it up and down

Yes it fits all 10x20mm extrution style cr10.

I've added pics to show a view of z maxed out and clearance with my giant 50mm fang.

You may lose at most 1 to 2mm. But your print can print closer to 305mm depending on where your nozzle and bed is. I suggest after leveling, traveling the z up and recording the reading. I was at 306. After the braces I comfortably go 305 as to not hit

do you think it reaches at least 390mm of travel on the z axis?

It will still work. The only thing that will change is the length of the rods between the too and bottom bracket.

The reason I couldnt use the other braces. They have a preset angle built into them for a certain height and depth of printer. Since mine use rod ends they can pivot to any angle. 45 60 etc .

Can you send where you buy all stuffs?

got them from multiple places. got most of it from amazon

1/4-28 Rod ends ( or 6mm rod ends ) RIght handed and left handed 2x Of each. Also right and left handed tap.

for the Cr10 mini I used 18" of 1/2" aluminum for the rods this will be different for other machnines as height and depth are diff. can use 13mm rod to depending where you live.

Sorry I dont have exact links as I had to source multiple places. the rod ends are standard so just fint 1/4" or 6mm and go from there. hardest part is drilling the ends of the rods and taping them. I got a lathe at home I used. I thought about desinging a drill guide to help but. This is kind of a special project where you need extra tools.
