ABANDONED. Sorry to say, but I have abandoned this project. After doing some more designing of other printers and research, I realize this design is very very impractical. It is here if anyone else wants to build off of it.
This is my custom designed 3D printer currently named the Tazmania 3D Printer. The printer is meant to resemble the Lulzbot Taz 6 3D Printer. My goal in designing this printer was to have no compromises and achieve near perfect dual extrusion print quality.

I designed this printer using Autocad 2018 and Fusion 360. The design uses a few parts sourced from Aleph Objects and E3D-Online and a few parts derived from Aleph Objects' parts.

Almost all parts are pretty much done, and have been adjusted and made to be aesthetic. A few parts may change once I test tolerances for things like lock nut slots. Still needs a number of minor parts to be designed or modified like bed corners, wipe mount, flush switch mount, and a few more.
Updated the Z_Upper.stl, Z_Lower.stl and Tazmania_3D_Printer.dwg and added the Bed_Corner.stl file. All that is left to do is adjust the X carriage belt clips, and design the flush switch mount.
Big updates to the Y axis. Updated the Y_Foot.stl, Y_Motor_end.stl, Y_Corner.stl, Bed_Corner.stl, and the Tazmania_3D_Printer.dwg. I also added the Frame_Foot.stl file because I apparently forgot to do so before. Probably one more update to come for the y axis, once I test parts.
Big updates all around. Currently, I am printing and tweaking the Y axis, so that is the area that has been changed the most. I have also made some aesthetic changes as well. I will update the renders tomorrow, as well as post pictures in a week or two of the build itself.
After much research I have decided to make a few changes to my design that are in progress. The biggest is to use a belted z axis instead of ball screws. I have chosen this for a number of reasons. The first being that using a belted Z axis would save a few hundred dollars. The second is that it actually performs amazingly well, and would reduce the possibility of binding if a ball screw were to be used. My belted Z axis would use planetary geared stepper motors, 10mm wide steel reinforced GT2 belts, and a unique pulley system that would provide equal force to the X axis in both the downward and upward direction to prevent against bouncing. I have temporarily put this project aside for a number of reasons. The first being that I wanted experience custom designing and building a 3D printer from scratch before I made this ~$3000 custom designed 3D printer to build from scratch. You can check out the other 3D printer I designed for this purpose on my profile. Even though that printer is almost done, I have learned a good deal in the process that will effect this design; Those changes are forthcoming. The second reason is I am still debating what to do with the Z axis. I have almost finished a design for a belted Z axis that uses a 1:4 pulley system instead of a planetary stepper motor to eliminate play and save cost, but I am still not sure if it would be a more practical choice. I would appreciate any input. The last reason being that my budget is limited and there are a few other small projects I want to get out of the way first. I now expect to have this printer made in a little over a year. I have not abandoned this project, I am still set on building this printer.
