Love and appreciate the detailed drawings, well done.

Works pretty good. Make sure you get a nice straight edge or else the cut will easily walk off your cut line. I used a 3' framing square but just came across these nice SpeedPress straight edges that would probably work much better: http://www.speedpress.com/categories/2/26. Did some 5X7 mats and they came out good. I did find that doing the cut in two passes helped keep the bevel cuts straight. Also I found that lining up the start of the cut with the top of the cut mark and ending the cut at the lower portion of the cut mark gave just about the perfect overlap.

Noticed that the blade tends to wander out due to the angle of the cut. Looking at a commercial version the blade is held in-between a slot in the base. I will update to version 2 with this slot, but you may find that this works adequately for shorter cut lengths and thinner materials. Also might work with a better straight edge, I'm using a thin ruler.
Updated to V2
I'll test and update with results soon...

Print the blade holder as shown but the base should be printed on its side so the chamfer of the blade holder stop faces down (the side closest to the m in the name 'Mat...' which is printed on the backside edge).
