Thanks, the design works a charm. Also, having the cross and the dot on top of the hubs makes it super easy to build a dome. All I needed to do is a bit of filing to widen the holes/clean printing artefacts, and now some tomatoes will test the durability of the dome in real life. Once I get access to a camera I will post a make.

I want to change the design, but I can not understand what angle to exhibit?

What is the brand of wooden sticks used?

Will it be possible to use the smaller version of your design to build a structure that cages an UAV like this one?

A similar problem as Ohmarinus over here: i can't slice the penta-connector with Slic3r and Cura.

I changed the following:
//-- Holes for inserting the sticks
for (i=[0:5]) {

//-- Holes for inserting the sticks
for (i=[1:6]) {

Now it slices fine.
For me it's still the question why this problem occurs on the penta and not on the hexa.

Still printing this nice design...

When I try to render this part on Repetier with slic3r it just shows up as crosses that the machine prints. How do I render these STL's?

Nevermind, I have sent then to Netfab, now they are repaired and it works fine! Only, I think I am printing them a little bit too fast.. Just got a new hotend, and am still testing it's limits hehehehe.

So cute that dome over your printer <3

This is the perfect basestructure for a electric-fence safeguarding ones NOM.

Now to find a Free hardwaredesign for the former.

If verticies had pins instead of holes you could make a bamboo enclosure in no time.

Nice work!

If you want to try bamboo try this derivative and please share a picture!

Mini dome with pins - Icosahedron

I need one of these. I want to be that happy.

I loved it when the printrbot turned into an "Armored Volumetric Entity Making Spherical Unit" in that photo.

Thanks! You can test a human-scale dome in the Almer
ía desert hahahaha

I calculated: I'm gonna need about 366 junctions to cover myself...

...and my mother's permission.

I love the picture, you seem so happy it is almost contagious, and you know that we can use some happiness in our country right now.

Thanks! :-) It is the happiness of the makers. The only thing they cannot steal is our happiness. If we lose it, we are dead
