It would be nice to know what settings work well for this vase? (number of shells, infill, supports, etc). Would it be the same if printing at half scale?

when I drop the stl in the slicer, it the vase looks like a solid object. Is the stl broken? wasn't it supposed to be a vase instead of a solid block?

Set number of top layers to zero and infill to 0% if not in vase mode.

I must be using an incompatible printer/slicer or somehow I don't see the options. I have FlashForge Creator Pro, with FlashPrint and also Replicator G slicers: I don't see the options: I can set the infill to 0,but the minimum top layer for FlashPrint is 1 layer. I could not find the option for top layer in Replicator G, either.

Sorry, I can't help here as I'm unfamiliar with your setup. I used Slic3r for slicing and that has the settings although I used vase mode.

I did a bit more poking around, and I found an advanced mode for the FlashPrint slicer. The advanced print mode has the vase mode. This time when it sliced, I see the opening in the vase. Good sign. I'll give it a try. I hope the other settings are OK. Will post results (and settings). Advanced mode is in menu->File->Preferences, Print tab.

Well done . . . dig and you will find!

Nice vase, I made one! I made it big, 30 x 30 x 45 cm... However, the STL-triangles are visible in the printout, especially now that I made it big and translucent. So, would you please make and post another STL with remarkably finer STL-mesh.
Of course, the reason may also be the original 3D model, if it isn't made of round surfaces but of planes with coarse setting, then making finer STL mesh won't help...
Thank you!
