If you have errors in the STLfiles (like this one has) try importing them into the Windows 10 app "3D Builder".
Click the tick for import. Say yes to repair. Save as new STL.

Hello!
I was considering printing this at my library but there are two questions I have.
How long does it take to make?
How big is the finished piece?

Thank you!

Hello there, great model :-) Would you have any recommended print settings such as support material? Im a newcomer to the more intricate 3d printed models! Thanks :-)

The Cura supports settings I used were;

Support Overhang Angle: 60%
Support Pattern: Zig-zag
Support Density: 15%

Not working in Slic3r, but Cura managed to print it with Prusa PETG just fine :)

Wont import into Slic3r properly. Many errors.

I really like the holder. Do you have the crest for Slytherin?

Thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead and added a holder for all the Houses.

This actually was quite simple print. I used S3D to create supports but didn't really need that much of it.
What I noticed is that the crest is little too big for separately printed parts.

I had somewhat the same issue, but managed to get the crest to snap into place.

It was really tight fit... I will try to print it with 99% to see if it's more easily to be fit into its place.

That may help. I did update the details narrative based on your experience. Let me know what you find works and I will update the details.
Good luck

Scaling it down actually might not work because of the little bits on the sides. The sharp points in that area at the base seems to be causing the issue with my print at least. Will try to glue it together tomorrow so we will see how it goes.

"Simple"???? That needs more support than my grandmother !!!!
