I love the look of this bow tie, but before I print it, how does one mount such a tie to a strap?

Cool bow tie! Im gona wear it on new years eve! :) Could you please consider uploading the 3D file? Need to adjust the button slot to fit my shirt...

To fix supports in Cura 3.0.4 go into custom settings and tick "generate support" then on the line below support placement needs to be "Touching Build Plate"

the part above is too heavy and tilts too much

Thanks. I'll look into that. I appreciate the critic.

Hi. bow tie I printed, Help to find the mount!!!!

I tried to print it, I've also a cr10, I use Cura, so for me 106.51 is 2242.32% and not 2540%, well it worked for me like that.
But I've issue with the face printed on the bed, as you can see here : https://imgur.com/a/VDsUb

It's like the model is under the bed on Cura, I didn't have these problem before but with this model I do. What setting do you put for the adherence to the bed ? until now I had simple border but it seems like you use the raft. Can you show me a screenshot of your setting or help me with that?

Ill have to look into cura settings. I only use simplify and 2540% is what it tells me when I import it. That's also weird that the model is in the bed because I've never seen that happen before.

I am trying to slice it in Cura, but when I select the support the program creates some lines inside the model (even selecting just the support in contact with bed). Any idea why is it happening and what should I do?

Could you send a picture? The new one I made does have one support that goes into the bow tie but its easy to take out. Thats what happened at least on Simplify3d, so I was wondering if its the same situation

Love this. Apologies for the basic question, I'm new to 3D printing and not a designer... I would love a mini version of this - approx 5cm wide - how easy is it to resize?

No problem! Do you want to shrink it but still wear it on a basic button up shirt? because you can def shrink it but the slot for the button to slide in will also shrink. I would have to remodel it.

Hi. bow tie I printed, Help to find the mount!!!!

Hi no it's not for a shirt - it doesn't need to be remodelled, fine for the slot to be shrunk accordingly. kind regards
