Hi All

Does anyone have the files to print this out ? This looks Amazing and would love to give it a go.

I would love to print this for my disco uniform anyone have this print please??

Anyone have this model? and a base?

If anyone has a copy of this model from before it was removed can you let me know? I'd like to print this for someone who has been really loving the new series.

Dang hate I was too late. Looks amazing

This printed amazingly well, detail is fantastic. Any chance the "small phaser" can come as one piece instead of being split apart?

Hi it does look really good, glad you are happy with it... i am working on improving the design but its in 2 parts to help people with small build spaces at the monent

For some reason, I don't have the option to split in cura, I don't see a split option when I right click? Any help would be much appreciated, cheers.

Where does the small rectangular peg go? I cannot seem to find it in the completed pictures or the instructions image.

in the bin lol , its a piece i originally intended to use to stick the 2 parts of the upper phaser together but it wasnt needed in the end, guess i should have deleted it before i uploaded

is it possible to get the individual pieces? my print bed isnt large enough to do them all

I had the same problem I put it in to meshmixer and split it in helf and save it two separate files.

What slicer are you using? In s3d you can click on sepeate connected parts in the pull down menus.

In cura right click the model and select split objects into parts

Once done move the parts around or delete parts until it fits your plate then print them, repeat this process untill you have all the parts

Oh...good to know.
Semi-nube here.
Thanks for your help.

No worries brother i was a noob once to lol

We learn by asking the question... hope you get it all sorted

same, nice little trick, didnt know that with S3d

Welcome mate, its a handy feature in s3d for small files like this but it tends to lock s3d if you try it with large files for some reason?

Howdy security0051,
Great design! Are you able to post the stl files for the individual pieces?
I just finished printing the model (in PETG) & all came out looking great except for the smallest two pieces.
I'd like to reprint these alone if possible.
Cheers.

Post a screenshot with your reply showing which pieces and ill post the stls for you mate

The prints weren't quite as bad as I thought.
They turned out really really nice. I just need to reprint the small button. At a later date, I'd like to reprint the whole thing at a slightly larger scale without having to print the duplicate rear parts of the phaser.

I am building this - love the work you did - but there are a lot of non-manifold errors. Gonna have to do a lot of cleanup. The layout is nice and the model is well done otherwise. Thanks!

The model prints perfectly despite what it shows and is by far the best quality easy print version on thingiverse at the moment i wouldnt change a thing

It printed well, but small dimples that i tracked down to holes and internal wall. Again, love the model. Printing my second now that I’ve made it manifold and it made a huge difference.

Can you post a copy of the monifold fixed stl and ill print a copy off?

If it comes out better ill replace the one on here and add you to the credit for it

Sure. All I have done so far is the Phaser 1 two part insert. I will post the whole thing when I get it done. I can send you the Phaser 1 by private message I think.

Thanks thehaggard,

I got your files and will take a look at them when im back in the office monday, can you post some pics of the completed model to see the difference in detail with your repaired files?

Sure... but I too need to do that on Monday. Leaving now for a weekend get-away. :)

Here is a photo of the minor problem. The hole circled in red came through each time. In Sketchup, the missing faces number about 100+ so I closed them all. The green circle shows rough areas that came through each time. In Sketchup those areas confirmed to interior walls that needed removed or they confused the slicers. The model prints as is but just needed clean up. Cleanup seen in the model behind. I will work on the other parts of the model as I have time, unless others chip in. I think this is a fine mesh and a great offering.

Hmm whats weird is mine never printed with those holes? But i do appreciate your hard work and additions to this project, i will get round to adding them to the post asap mate

Different slicers get different results. I have models from thiniverse that don’t print in Cura but print fine in Slicer3.
However, in this case, it may have been exacerbated by my actions. I split the parts into individual pieces rather than one large print. I have a delta printer with less than a 10 inch diameter. Moving the parts may have causes some manifold issues to be multiplied or magnified. The issues exist in the original, but the individuals may not have the other pieces to “anchor” to. Anyhow, it works better for me to get rid of the extra interior faces and the manifold problems.

thanks for the files...

No worries brother, would appreciate if you build it post some pics, it prints perfectly, dont bother with supports or rafts
