Made this for my 2002 Subaru Forester, had to wrap a bit of self-vulcanizing tape around the mirror arm to get a good fit, works better than a $15 mount kit I bought off of Amazon. Printed in PETG with 40% infill at 0.2 mm layers and it seems to be holding up to the Florida heat well. More stable than any other mount I have used.

I made this with 75% infill with PLA and it warps when inside the car from the heat of the sun. What did you make yours out of?

I did the same thing as au01st but used a 25mm bolt between the lowest piece and the bottom piece of the circular mount, so no gap like in the picture. On mine the angle of the detector is too low and the display points down.I'm going to try to remix for a better angle.

Made this for my Escort Passport 8500 X50. Used a 20mm bolt to attach the lower mount and keep it flush below the mirror. It's a bit bulky, but it's hidden so that's not a problem. Best of all I didn't spend $60, maybe $6 in bolts.

Very cool.

How big is the diameter of the hole that attaches a round the mirror's stem?

Had to make an adapter ring so that it would fit my Mazda mirror but it works Great!!

What is the hardware size? Also what type of mirror is that with the camera in it? I want one for a 70 chevelle restomod with a micro PC in it that I am almost done with.

I'm about to try your design

thanks a lot you save me a lot of money

what is that camera in your rear view mirror for?

Had an offline request for the source file so I just uploaded my Sketchup file.

Made it through summer 2012 with no issues or adjustments so far!  I'll keep tracking time/seasons if I can remember to!

Made it through summer 2013 with no droop! Weeeeeeeeee!

Have you left this in the car yet? I left my printer in the car once and it melted. How does this stand up to the heat of the sun?

So far no effect but this was a concern of mine too. We have had a few 100F+ days this week already and I can't tell a difference in the mount yet. Here is my local weather: http://www.weather.com/weather/right-now/McKinney+TX+75069http://www.weather.com/weather... 8-)
