First release in the OpenForge cobblestone streets set. These are in a fan pattern.
For instructions on how to get started with OpenForge, we have a set of tutorials. Want to sell OpenForge prints? Want to use OpenForge designs in your product, check out the license FAQ.
OpenForge is now a patron supported project. I use the resources that my patrons give me in order to get the resources to let me create more sophisticated tiles with a greater level of detail. Please, support me, and I’ll deliver an ongoing stream of awesome gaming terrain. You can find more about OpenForge and Masterwork Tools at our:
For each street tile, print yourself one of street.cobble.fan.* and a base of the same size (2x2, 2x4 or 4x4). The streets are in 25mm square basis (which matches Dwarven Forge). If you want that size, print without changes, and print one of the 25mm bases. If you instead want inch squares, scale the street tile on X and Y by 101.6% and print one of the inch bases. Finally, if you want wyloch stile tiles (1.25" per square) scale the X and Y by 127%.
Note: This thing used to have bases, but now all bases for OpenForge City Streets are kept in their own thingiverse entry: OpenForge 2.0 City Street Bases
I've recently entered into a deal where I am reviewing 3d printers. The prints for this object are the first I've done on the printer I'm reviewing. Gearbest provided me with their Tronxy X5s printer. I've only just finished getting the printer working, so there are still some problems (like stringing) that require tuning for me to fix, but overall, I'm very happy with the output on these first prints, especially given the printer's pretty low pricepoint. I'm going to continue making prints for many of the releases over the next few months with this printer so we can see how it improves.
Other Street Tiles
You can find the rest of this set as it gets released, along with some other city street tiles that people from around thingiverse have been creating in the OpenForge 2 Streets Collection
- 10/24/2017 - removed all the bases. Now all bases for OpenForge City Streets are store in their own entry
