Liked the arachnid like design from LoboCNC; wanted a few other configurations so I created these. They should work snugly with the https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1776424 thing, with the exception of the nut slot as I had larger nuts so I needed the slots larger.
- Tri-Post Base was designed with 12mm shafts as to allow a little more initial ball-joint movement.
- The Spider Eye is an enclosure for whatever, it should be paired with a cover.
- The LED Eye cover is designed for (7) 6mm LEDs.
The original design was with a 20% infill; I've bumped this from my table and only had 1 or 2 parts break so I would recommend a higher infill for strength. (Or mount with wall mount so its not on the desk but floating above the desk)
LED add-on inlays
I would suggest using an inlay of foil tape or a very reflective paint for all LED surfaces for light to reflect off of; this will reflect more light outward providing better lighting.
There are the parts where a lock-screw is required/advised.
- Narrow Alligator clip (hold clip in place, part has a 4.5mm dia hold to accommodate clip)
Optional lock screw
if for some purpose the ball joints are not holding tight enough and you've already tighten the squeeze clamp; remove the post that has the cup that needs to be tighter, drill a pilot hole through the cup (about 2-3mm dia) reassemble and use the pilot hole to add a lock screw to assist with a tighter grip.
I've uploaded the AutoCAD DWG file I used for making all the different parts and noticed there was a fan mount in the file that was not exported or uploaded (its now attached). Note: I've not printed the fan mount so I've not tested it, feed back on it would be appreciated.
There are notes that some parts are not interchangeable with the remix; as requested I've uploaded flashlight clips (yes, 2 versions. 1 similar to the clip of the remix and the other with rounded gap posts)
