I was not able to find a wall mount that would fit the elite wireless controller (because of the paddles). So I went and designed my own.
I wanted a wall mount that would be lightweight, sturdy and easy to print.
I spent a couple of hours on Fusion 360 designing this, and yes, it's not perfect, so feedback is appreciated for v2! So please leave your comments!
YES! It does fit the 'normal' Xbox One Controllers :)
I designed this with my printer in mind, so I wouldn't need supports.
Though depending on your printer, you might want to use support for those overhangs. For the prusa, I tried turning on the fans for those couple of layers to make sure that the filament would solidify quickly - no issues.
This was printed in AIO Robotic's PLA (I love that filament!).
I printed this at 0.10, 0.15 and 0,20 - They all looked good on the Prusa i3 MK2s.
Depending on how good your printer deals with overhangs, you might get away with less infill (I used 16% fast honeycomb and 4 top layers).
Please share your experiences with your print / settings!
Use Silicon / Rubber Tape
Since the elite wireless controller has a rubbery finish, depending on your filament/printer/print settings I was worried that the friction would damage the surface of the controllers. So i made the 'legs' flat so you can put some silicon/rubber tape on them.
If your tape is too thick, you might want to print at 101% or 102% scale.
I used 8mm head screws for this.
