You may want to check the slicer software. If you are using Cura, and the part is too big for your print bed, it may autoscale the part to fit the bed. This will definitely cause problems. I tested both, and the 6 piece version should fit better on a smaller print bed.

You were correct.. I printed it with the 6 piece version and everything is perfect.. Thanks for you help..

k.. going to reprint the frame with 6 piece.. I am assuming you said it was for a 10" prop so I am also assuming my cage frame is what is too small.. As a side note I am using cura and maybe that is what happened.. I will have to pay closer attention to that ... Didn't know it was a thing.. In any case thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly.. I will post back my results as well as my print.. BTW the other parts are awesome and fit is very good..

Hey I downloaded this and printed it.. however it seems like the ribs are really long .. Did I do something wrong.. Everything seemed to print fine.. the cage frame measures about 8" (I used the 3 piece version) .. So is it the cage frame or ribs that I have wrong somehow.. Maybe I can just print the 6 piece version? Have you tested both?

Great model! I'm finishing my Lutefisk wing soon and will use this design for the trike.

Are the arms flat or are they angled to reduce prop torque?

They have a slight airfoil shape to them, but I did not spend a lot of time on it. That would be a good modification, especially after watching some other R/C models that were tested with and without the anti-torque fins

can i get a STEP or IGS file i would like to play with the cage support arms?

Sure can. Created the file with Fusion360. What CAD are you using? On the road, so may take a day or two to add the source file.

i am using solidworks 2017 thank you
