Would this fit on an average-sized man's head? I slapped it on a head model from this site and it seemed to work ok.

I would like to think so, but it has been untested as a print so couldnt be 100% sure.
Like you say it fits on a test head. Good luck, love to see your results and or outcome, Cheers Jace

Yes sir! I’m about to give it a shot. Just contemplating settings, supports, etc. I’ll let you know!

Hold off for a minute or two I did this helmet back when I was still learning. let me tweak it a bit and I'll reload it shortly ; )

Ok I've uploaded it again slightly larger. The average male heat is 180mm wide but most helmets the hole at the bottom becomes to small.
I've added a 230mm wide helmet but checking the gap at the bottom is still only 170mm wide. So you may have to increase the helmet to 240mm wide so you can get you head into it from the bottom ; )

Wow thanks! I’ll check with a few more scale heads and see what I think. Waiting for new filament to come in but when it does I’ll let you know how it goes.

I started printing it today and it seems my print bed is a bit too small for the half and half model. Do you think you could make the model of the six pieces cut apart into individual files? Sorry for all the trouble, but I'm thinking of putting together a cosplay and this helmet is just the best model I could find.

Sorry I should have said select all then highlight the one you want and then delete the rest, Save that one file hit the reverse button/ rewind and start the process again until you have all the files saved individually ; )

I was just thinking if you have access to Windows free 3DBuilder (Only on Windows 10 ) you can highlight a piece, delete the rest and save individual pieces to your hearts content, reverse an repeat the process very simple and easy to do, Mesh Mixer dose the same thing, Cheers Jace

Oh ok, Thanks for the tip! I didn't know I could do that.

This is a pretty awesome helmet and easy to print.
Do you have access to windows 10?

Halo 4 Helmet Full Size A

Thanks for the suggestion! I am looking for the ODST helmet though, I personally find them one of the coolest in the series. Thanks for the first edit, I really appreciate it. I think I may have found another that should work though.

This is such an awesome model, thanks for giving it out! Is there anyway you could split this model into two parts? Like a bottom half and top half. It would help a lot for printing this in intervals.

Hows that or did you literally want it slpit in two? Chers Jace

Yeah like a top and a bottom split around the visor just to eliminate the need for a lot of supports, if that isn't too much trouble.

Well I tried a couple of options for ; ) and check the sizing too as there all at best a guess. Happy printing Cheers Jace

Thank you so much! Those look perfect!
