The cube and cylinder i use for testing and calibrating my custom made printers and to check if the bed is levelled properly. The size after printing should be as close as it can to 25mm on each axis.
If the size isn't correct when printed, check your firmware and axis settings. When you are using marlin firmware as I do, it's easy to change the parameters using the M92 command. To store the settings in the EEPROM use M500 commands.
if you wanna now the current settings use M501 command and look for the M92 parameters
M501 => to retrieve the current firmware settings (look for the M92 line)
M92 X187.50 Y187.50 Z800.00 E185.00 => to change the current settings
M500 => to store the settings in the firmware
Can be printed as needed with the settings you use most to calibrate and test your printer.
