This would be so extremely useful for robot building - except we are using 1515 extrusion. Is there any chance you could modify your model in Customizer to add a "15" option for "Width in Millimeters"? Also, we use M3 bolts - would that simply be "Screw Hole Diameter" = 3.3?

As per your comment below, I have installed the latest development version of OpenScad, then downloaded and opened your *.scad file. Right now I'm in 'personal growth' mode as I make sense of everything - which is greatly helped by how commented your code is - and I don't think I need your help at this time. It's very clear where you scripted the options, and how I simply need to add the dimensions I need to each respective list. Thanks!!

is it just me or did the customizer not work for anyone?

It hasn't worked since January 5th. So you are not alone. But you can use OpenSCAD instead. Install, open the .scad file and customize. You can download the latest version 2018.01.06 from the Development Snapshot section that has a customizer option, available under Edit > Preferences > Features > customizer.
OpenSCAD has a better preview and is much faster!

I saw that after I made my post.. so I gave it a whirl and it did work but I some how still ended up with a 2020 piece even though I typed in 30. oh well. the bracket worked for testing I guess. was too thick too Thanks for the reply

though I still am seeing a difference in what I "make" in openscad vs what imports into my slicer. like if I make it look like I want, and hit the stl button on openscad, it still outputs all the pieces even though I'm looking at just 1 of the straight pieces

Figured it out, new to openscad... had to render to get it to output what I was actually seeing. On to printing....

Both of these are the 1-inch/25mm versions of the 8020 20mm versions.

Thanks for the links! I've already implemented the 1inch option for the width in the customizer and I now added the 25mm option for the width of the plate for part # 25-2525.
If you currently can't use the customizer, you can use OpenSCAD to create the brackets.

Just out of curiosity: why not just laser cut these instead of 3d print them?

Feel free to laser cut it. Noboby forces you to print it. You need to modify the scad file a bit to generate svg files. And don't try it with acrylic sheet. This stuff will break. Use aluminium or steel instead.

Any chance you can add in 25.4 as a width? I'm using qubelok for my frame and don't want to go reinventing the wheel just for this :)

As I can see, qubelok is a bit different in profile shape if I compare it to a 2020 profile. Qubelok uses a simple rectangle shape. How do you connect these brackets to this profile? Do want to cut holes in the profile and using screws, washers and nuts?

Yes, pretty much. Holes are pre drilled for attaching everything. Not as easy as using the profile but it's cheap as chips compared to the profile stuff here in Aus.

I don't get it, over a thousand likes and not a single comment or "I made one"? You have done an absolutely stellar job of this. Putting up a design for a few brackets would have been good, but a paramaterized version with the scad source file and all the extra options etc? That's going the extra mile. Everyone who uploads to this site should take note: this is how you do a really useful design.

This is very nicely done and makes me want to go buy some Al extrusion, but I don't have closets full of the stuff just sitting around, so it gets a like but I'm not going to print one any time soon. I think most people have the extrusion they used to build their printer and not an inch more.
