Great, thanks!!! I just had to make the pads 0.3 mm wider on each side in XY plane, in order to sit tightly into the jaws.

When I printed this, it did not fit at all. The body seems way too large to fit in to the hole. After sanding, it barely fit but the gear teeth can't grab it well.

I'd guess that either your printer is out of calibration, or else you are over-extruding. Have you tried printing a dimensional test cube?

Thanks! All I have access to right now is a Makerbot on campus, and I don't think there is much calibration that I can/should mess with. What 3D printer did you use?

I'm using this home-built printer: https://youtu.be/hdju_6XEHZ4

The wheel is Broken me every time :(

how can i make it strong?

I recommend using thin layers (0.2mm), at least 4 perimeter lines, and print more slowly (and maybe hotter) to get complete fusing of the layers. I printed mine in PLA, which is slightly stronger than ABS.

PLA stronger than ABS? lol

It depends on whether you are talking about yield strength (measured at the point of permanent deformation) or ultimate tensile strength (measured at the point of material separation). Yield strength is what matters most with mechanisms that stop working if the parts deform. Tensile strength is more important, say, with something like a carabiner. PLA has a higher yield strength than ABS but can have a lower tensile strength (depending on the local stress concentrations in your part).

I'm with cura, what is it there 4 perimeter?

I don't use Cura, but Cura might call them "shells" instead of "perimeters".

Great work...love your tools! :)

I'm so geeked about this! Printing now, will post pics in the morning :)

!!!!Genius!!!
Isn't the wheel file missing?

Thanks! I just posted the missing file.
