hello i am using the ctc bizer it is a clone of the replicator the only thing i have change on it is the hot ends will this work for mine i have been strugling to get this thing up and going with the duet and im not sure i understand what i have to do with the gcode files?

Hi, I have an old 2X that I am getting up and running. It has the bottle works arms and HBP. I also bought Carl Raffle's aluminum x-carriage and hot ends / heater block. I then upgraded to aluminum spring-tension extruders, ditching the stock 2x cam-tension extruders. I was curious what you think about the flexion extruder, and if it improves ABS/PLA prints and Ninjaflex?

Also, my Mightyboard blew the two OPAmps that control the fans. I paid almost $100 last year to a repair shop to hot air solder new ones on, but I wish I found your Duet 2 upgrade. Do you find it enhances the 2X to have the Duet 2? I do like the added features of IR auto-bed leveling and mesh leveling.

Thanks for the comment. The best feature by far is the ability to control, monitor and print over wifi vs the old mightyboard. The bed leveling (use an induction sensor, the IR sensor only gave me problems) is nice but not superior to a properly manually leveled bed.
Question is whether to spend money and time on upgrading a 2x or simply going for a newer printer with all these features and larger build volume...... Personally I only use the 2x now for pure ABS prints or flex prints. For all other prints I use a Tevo Little Monster as it is more convenient and faster.
Flexion extruder: works very well so far. Can only recommend it.

What made you decide to do this?

Why not :-) Adds a ton of functions to the old Rep2x. The web interface is just awesome and liked to play around with the auto leveling and meshbed compensation features
