Stefano, I had found that the fiberglass reinforced Gates belt will actually slide out of the clamp block so I added the cup point set screw for each half. If you insert the belt in the upper half as shown, and snug the set screw, that will ensure the belt stays in place. The you insert the belt in the lower half and assemble the blocks to the underside of the H-Frame. As you pull on the free end of the belt in the lower half to tension the belt, you can then tighten the bottom half set screw to secure the belt. The belt will be completely secure with the set screws. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers, Kevin

I was considering to realize this belt clamp but I need a clarification. What's the purpose of the two M4x8LG screws?
The clamp should work even without these screws.
May you explain?
