Do you have a wiring diagram? It looks... convoluted.

Follow the wiring diagrams on the DuetWifi webpage. It is straight forward. Info on the endstop pinout is included in my notes and is really the only thing that needs looking up besides the stuff you find on the DuetWifi webpage. Good luck

Sure, will do that soon. (received amy new build plate, now the auto bed leveling should work as well)

Very nice solution to a bad board. How is it printing after all the replacements? I like the bed leveling option and will definitely consider this as an option if i ever have any issues with the board on my Rep2x.

Thanks. Prints very nice. Love the wifi connectivity. The bed leveling is not working well yet due to my glass print bed but that should be solved soon I hope with the help of a better bed material.

i will be making one if you upload your firmware have the excact same plans printer and issues as you have/had. Stops mid print.

Have been looking closely into your firmware and have some questions?

1: Have you replaced your end stops on X and Y i know about Z but Config seems to show them as NO not NC as they are.

2: Geometry on the Axis is compared to my stock firmware reversed. from LCD minus should move axes to left when looking at LCD your firmware does the opposite, not saying it is wrong but im just looking for answers.

3: Speed on Z Axis could be improved but thats is just a minor detail.

4: DC42 Z-Prope seems to not report back in Analog frequence? did you also connect to Z-Prope port

5: Motor in reverse i think this is just because your connectors for nema turns otherway arround?

6: My Exruder needed 104.1616 for a MK8 (Standard to extrude Precise 100mm)

7: Steps pr mm is in my case 80X 80Y 400Z (MotorCurrent seems nice ;))

8: did you experiment with 256 micro stepping?

9: Slicing setup is really needed have tried many slicers but not sure how Start and End-Code should be 110%

10: A working Calibration G-Code would be nice Benchy or something like that as an add on.

11: Im really exhausted on this conversion, Z-Offset wants to kill me. Futhermore, slicing profiles is a bitch taking many hours to complete.

12: Your fan speed could need some tweaking but i will comment that on Github when i merge your config.

13: RGB board is now virtually prototyped and is ordered from far east. Where should i ship it?

Ok, here we go :-)

1: Have you replaced your end stops on X and Y i know about Z but Config seems to show them as NO not NC as they are.
A: No, the endstops are stock. As mentioned in the thing description there are 2 options for Z. Use the factory installed endstop (search the code for ) or IR probe homing for Z (which is the default setting in my config now). If you want to use the stock Z Endstop, you need to simply comment out the probe based Z homing and uncomment the switch based Z Endstop code in the config file provided.

A: Yes, I decided to put zero where the homing switches are. Rear right instead of the default rear left. Makes more sense in my opinion.

3: Speed on Z Axis could be improved but thats is just a minor detail.
A: Yes and no. It will reduce the sensor homing accuracy. If you go with the switch based homing you can increase it.

4: DC42 Z-Prope seems to not report back in Analog frequence? did you also connect to Z-Prope port
A: Yes, the DC42 probe is probe with an analog output connected to the Z probe connector. Probe mode is set to Mode 1 in the Firmware

5: Motor in reverse i think this is just because your connectors for nema turns otherway arround?
A: Yes, you need to update this based on your final wiring (I redid the complete wiring harnes in my machine to rule out issues due to the flimsy Makerbot wires. Most wires are now highly flexible silicone wires)

6: My Exruder needed 104.1616 for a MK8 (Standard to extrude Precise 100mm)
A: I actually never measured mine but took the same setting as I had in the Sailfish firmware before.

7: Steps pr mm is in my case 80X 80Y 400Z (MotorCurrent seems nice ;))
A: you might want to check X and Y

8: did you experiment with 256 micro stepping?
A: no, not tried yet. I'm also not sure if the stock steppers will be able to provide good results. Please feedback if you get good results !

9: Slicing setup is really needed have tried many slicers but not sure how Start and End-Code should be 110%
A: Take a look at the Simplify3D code I uploaded. If you need the Start and Endcode separately post here and I will copy it out.

10: A working Calibration G-Code would be nice Benchy or something like that as an add on.
A: I can slice one for you but it needs to be adjusted to your machine (temperatues, meshbed compensation on or off, material etc)

11: Im really exhausted on this conversion, Z-Offset wants to kill me. Futhermore, slicing profiles is a bitch taking many hours to complete.
A: What is the issue with Z-Offset?

12: Your fan speed could need some tweaking but i will comment that on Github when i merge your config.
A: Happy to hear about it (P.S. The cooling fan speed is controlled by the slicer. )

A: Nice ! How did you implement it? Based on the Duet Expansion connector?

Thanks for replying, i did a design where you can use Fan-PWM on one fan output to control the light.

Used almost same components as on the Mightyboard to control the color as close as possible to stock. You can simply connect the module to any PWM fan output and have G-Code to control the light. While you wait for it to arrive, a simple hack could be to Join all wires except white PIn1 to Ground. Meaning Pin1 24v+ and Pin 2-3-4 to Ground then you will have the white light (close by) again.

Sounds great. As the Rep2X utilizes all the 3 PWM fan ports of the main board I will look at the expansion socket and see if the connections can be utilized here to open up a 4th PWM channel. Alternatively I could also combine the extruder fans to one channel.

I did a new design to utilize the whole Duet EX port for LED, and other fan Pinouts. I will test i through the next couple of days.
