I modified the USB inserts to fit magnetic USB charging cables so they snap in and charge. Great print!

What length on the screws would you recommend?

Can anyone confirm if this stand fits with the vive wireless setup. Looking at the pictures I think that the wireless module would hit the remotes?

Does it work with the deluxe audio strap?

Yes it does, extremely well. You just have to put the headset on before the controllers.

Thank you! This'll be a great way to help my kiddo out! I took the infill to 10% and only took 14 hours to complete using MatterControl.

Made for my Boyfriend. Don't know if M4 screws are different size in the UK but they were way too big. Took 24 hours to print.

Made mine with drywall screws. worked great

I'm curios what the command strip on the front of your vive is about.

Looks like a velcro mount for a Leap Motion.

Hi! I'm about to print your model, and as a refference I'd like to know haw many ours took you to have it printed.

Thank you!

Hi, cant remember for sure, but i think it took around 25h for the stand with 0.2mm layer height

I made one of these and was trying to work out how the vive headset hung on the top bit and after looking at the pictures realised that my vive is of a slightly different design to the one shown. The top buckle where the strap attaches with the vive symbol hole is different just a fabric piece with a metal loop in it rather than the solid piece with a slightly hooked end that shows in your pictures. Seems they slightly redesigned this part at some point. As a result there is nothing for it to hook onto on the top piece and the vive headset slides down and sits on the base of the piece.

A different top piece that could hook onto the old style strap somehow could probably resolve that when I get some time I'll look at designing one.

Anyway just fyi for people with this older style design of vive.

Had no idea of this design detail, if you manage to find a solution please post it! Or if you send me a picture I might get an idea for the top part.

I tried a couple of things and after a few failures came up with this a replacement top part that
attaches to the base part of your design the same way and has a tine on the top which slots into the buckle on the top strap of the vive hmd and holds the headset in place on the stand.

Seems to work ok but is a little fiddly sometimes to hook the device onto so might require some more thought. It does mean the headset no longer slides down and rests on the base so that's a step in the right direction :)

Replacement top for HTC Vive Desk stand for older Vive headsets

You are a life saver, I should've looked at the comments before printing. I too have the original design headset I was so confused why it didn't support it.

Did you shrink the vive controller stand at all? I tried printing out the inserts from the original to fit a charging cable in, but they printed to big for this. Do you have the files needed for that? Or know how much you scaled that part?

Hi, I didn't shrink the dimensions, but the height of the hole for the charging cables might be a little bit shorter for the original inserts to fit, so you might have to cut them a little bit.

Please publish your part if you make it! Thanks!

I have made a working insert. The problem was a slope was created when combining the two parts here (among a couple other small things).
