I'm just going to go and accept my idiot of the week award :) I just went with Wi / Li being internal Width / Length, didn't even think to swap them around lol :)

Thanks, looks like a perfect box for an idea I have, will post a make if I can get this dam printer to behave lol :)

is there anyway to print the box with the lid on the long edge ? so that the Li can be more than half of bed size ?

I'm sorry, but I didn't understand your question. Which lid? And what is the "long" edge? The size of the box gets defined in the first few lines, so you can make x or y the "long" edge, just as you like.

Inhumierer, first of all - great design.
One small correction though. You have these lines in the code:
ri=r-th; // needed for the cover
if (ri<=0){
ri=e; // needs to be larger than 0 for proper results
these do not work as intended. In OpenSCAD once you set value to a variable you cannot change it. if you add an echo(ri); after - not inside - the "if" you will see that with your example values it is still 0.
Use this code instead:

Hi, thanks a LOT for your suggestion/correction. I am still new to OpenSCAD, learning every day. I'll add your fix soon, thanks again!
