What machine and settings did you use to have zero supports even with the spiral staircase?

Mendel90 - 2 perimeters and 10% infill. There is some droopage but it's not really noticable as it's inside/under the stairs. You could try to print a smaller version and adjust your settings to get it correct usually slower speed and cooler hotend temperature helps.

You are a nut. :' ) I've never seen one printed that big. Good job !

What is the spiraly thing up the middle of the piece?

It's a double helix.

Well yes, I meant what is its significance.

Aesthetics, probably. Again this isn't my model I just remixed it by making it big and split it in half

In Blender I see some stray vertices and edges at the top of the bottom half and they are also in the bottom of the top half. It looks like instead of an opening there exists a 2 dimensional film on both pieces.

Hey any thoughts on support material?

I wouldn't recommend printing with supports. If your printer can bridge decently the print should come out fine with minimal clean up.

What software did you model this in? I assume it isn't support to have a solid floor between the two pieces. An error when the model was cut in half?
Love the look of it. Nice stone segments. Could be the basis for a dice tower. Or if it were hinged and opened length-wise, a storage rack for an awesome chess set.

imagine it messing up right at the end, a whole roll of plastic destroyed, I'm gonna print a small one :)

It was a long print ~30 hours for the bottom but both the top (~20 hours) and bottom printed the first try.
