Are the problems only existing with the stock 2016 axis or also with the 2017 axis?

I found that the stock drive shaft outer section is now too short and does not reach the outer bearing.

Yes Chris below commented on basically the same thing. Sadly I put my F1 car project aside and have been too busy to get back to it. I'm going to mark this a work in progress and will update again when I have a solution for the bearing/axel problem. Or if anyone else has solved it, please let me know and I'll update this with the new information.

It looks like this user has inset the rear wheel hub which may go some way to solving the issue, although I see they are using a stud to mount the wheel retainer. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2480790 I'm going to print one, so will let you know how it goes.

2017 differential Rim

The rim was a good fit, it sits close to the spur gear and the axle comes through the bearing to allow the wheel nut to fit normally. I posted a make at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2480790

Have you managed to get this working with the diff yet? I'm having issues with it all not sitting right and not being able to lock the wheel on.
