what is the size of this thing? i would like to get an idea of how big it is before i print it

Fantastic model but quite difficult to print. When printing you have 2 options: 1. Use A LOT of support material 2. Use support material in places you'd like a clean finish on. But mine still came out pretty well. Future suggestion for other designs though ; Make outer cosmetic details its own piece, that way you can leave a nice flat surface for orienting on the print bed.
But again, GREAT model. Thanks for sharing.

I would't imagine you were able to modify the file in such a way?

This thing is HUGE for the print bed. I have 210 cubed space to print and i would have to print it diagonally. any V2 options for something smaller?

What orientation do you recommend printing these in, and would you use supports?

Truthfully, I've yet to print these and do not have much experience with 3D printing. That being said, because of the fact that regardless of orientation there will be unsupported layers, I would thing supports are a must for this to print. I don't know for sure, but I would think that putting the base bottom down, the inner lid bottom down, and the outer lid top down would probably give the best results, but this is going to depend a lot on your settings and such I would imagine. If anyone knows better please feel free to reply.

That is very creative !

Thanks! Just turned it out quickly to be a little more cost effective than another design I did that was very similar but far larger.
