Thank you for saving me the cost of a new tool... I am working on small engines as a hobby and it is my first time tuning a carburetor do you have any tips?

I do.

  1. For printing this, I had to use a tiny nozzle and the tool worked but was very fragile.
  2. When working on a carb, make small adjustments. The difference between runs great and runs terrible is 1/2 of a turn. :/
  3. The fuel filter on these weed eaters gets clogged up and underfeeds the fuel. That was the root problem for my issue. Opening up the mixture screw is a stopgap measure.
  4. A new carb is $11 from Ebay, and includes a new filter.
4a. On the ebay replacement carb I got the mixture screws would vibrate out of adjustment. I ended up fixing the Ryobi Carb and putting it back on.

HTH.

Congratulations on this tool - just what I need for my weed eater which is behaving as you describe - I'll let you know if it fits.

Thanks! I found that it worked when I printed it with my tiniest nozzle, but it was fragile. I hope you have better luck.
