Nice! I have the same problem with the external discs.
What kind of connectors do you use at the supply side? It is not really clear from the picture.

I used female quick disconnects on the mains power socket and ring terminals to the power supply. From the power supply to the drives are 5.5x2.5mm DC panel mount jacks. Then from those jacks are male to male 5.5x2.5mm DC patch cables commonly used for CCTV camera stuff. Hopefully that answers your question.

Oh, btw, don't be like me and make sure to measure whatever you are connecting to. I thought 2.1mm was the common DC jack size but my drives were 2.5mm. So I had to unsolder and replace all the jacks and get the matching patch cables. Guess its like that old saying measure twice and solder once.

I already realized with my disk drives, that they have different connectors and a plug that fits to one drive does not automatically fit to all other drives.
To be honest, this project has not highest priority on my list, but you created a new idea in my mind, thanks :-)
