Nice simple idea. Printed one on an Up! mini using ABS, quick print 0.35mm z-res, but even the larger one was too tight for an AA. Ended up drafting a quick one in FreeCAD, 48mm long OD=26.2mm ID=14.6mm which worked like a charm. Just enough friction to hold the battery in place but can still be removed.

Brilliant! Very cool idea.

2 still is too tight for a battery, may be because it so small. I have the makerbot resize which is probably the issue

every printer/slicer combination is different. my LulzBot Taz 4 generally increases external radius (and decreases internal radius) by about 0.2mm whether i use Slic3r or Cura.

just brought this into repetier and it is really really small

BTW, are you by any chance the same ScubaSteve from Explosives Engineering?

Nope..sorry..sounds like i should wish i was though :P

could be a units thing. if you imported in imperial, try metric or vice-versa. a millimeter is about 1/25.4th of an inch, so if the original STL was in inches and you imported it as millimeters, that could explain your problem. hope this helps! :-)

I will have to recheck..But I know that I am in metric and have never had this kind of issue come up before.. it was really small..lol
