Haven't printed this yet, but it has to be one of the more fun projects I've seen, thank you!

Good luck on the project :)

Anyone else having trouble converting the face to gcode? I've tried using multiple slicers and they all behave the same way, keeps generating unexpected layers that don't match the model. Do you print it on its back so the flat side is against the bed, or upright like it shows in the picture? Thanks!

Hi, thank you for your comment. There is a handy option in Simplify3D called "Place Surface on Bed" but not all slicers have it. So we just fixed the position of the "Face". Please please do not hesitate to ask any questions.

Works much better now, thank you!

Excellent design that not only looks cool it is cool!

Thank you very much for sharing your make with us. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we enjoy it!

A make that we found online:

If it helps anyone, I used Slic3r and the back of the head is not flat. It has a 2.4 mm variance. I sliced this much off the back of the head to make it lay flat on the bed. Prior I tried to fix it in Netfabb, but was unsuccessful.

Can't wait to see when it is ready! :)

Face is printed, now working on the arms. This is so awesome!!!

The back of the head does not appear to be flat. The preview of slic3r shows it starts printing the upper left parts and then slow progresses to the other areas. Fear is that this is not set up properly to adhere to a print bed. Suggestions?

In simplify3d we used "Place surface on bed" option. Don't know how it is called in Slic3r.
