What about using a pillow block at the other end of the 8mm lead screw, and anti backlash nuts?

I understand that this is adding one more securing point for the screw, but at same time cancels the function of flex shaft?

The beam shaft coupler is supposed to compensate for angular misaligments only in this particular application. Which it still does if you use this bracket design. Flexibility/springiness along the Z-axis is undesired. Of course be careful not to preload the coupler which would defeat this.

Would you be able to share the original file so i could remix ? I would like to add 1.5mm to the part that mounts on the 4020, and i'd also like to make the part that mounts to the 4020 thinner. Love the design.

Mine required a 3mm shim behind it to bring it into alignment with the leadscrew nut.
Works perfectly, great addition to my TT.

hello ,
What is the function of the collar?

Heya, Looks like a great design. Is this compatible with Thingirob's Z Brackets?

Did you Test it?

It is not compatible

Indeed, you just corrected a basic design error of this machine. Same error found in the majority 3D printers.
