How did you reuse the existing screw in thermocouple? Is there a specific E3D heat block that will support it? I imagine you need the right combo of threads.

i have made one of theese and works great really helped the printing with the v6 the only thing i dont like about it is you have to take everything off to change your nozzle as the heat sink is completely covered so changing the heater block or nozzle becomes a bit of a pain adding a way to frip the heatsink with some sergical tweesers would make this perfect i just dislike how long nozzle changes take with this setup. great cooling etc...

Definitely print with ABS (Or anything else relatively heat resistant, PETG, Polycarbonate, Nylon) for this. I've been printing with this for a few months now and took it apart yesterday to change the nozzle and put an E3D sock on. I noticed that the areas right by the bottom of the E3D heatsink has 'heat marks', it's still fine but I can tell PLA would of melted instead. You can get away with printing nozzle_fan_mount.stl and cable_guide.stl in PLA though, although I'd still recommend ABS.

I printed it at 0.2mm at 50mm/s on the original extruder on the CTC Bizer. No supports or rafts. Relatively high infill rate (I did 25%, you can probably go a lot lower though).
