Wow this T800 bust is AMAZING!!! XZ

Hi,

at first awesome Job. I would Like to know if you used real hoses.

Thanks!
Boba

Yes got them from the home depot, not much more than $10.00 I recall, cheers Jace

Hi Jace. Can you say what scale you used for the skull? It looks a little small on my slicer bed as is. I wasn't sure if you scaled it up to a specific scale or printed as is. I'm running a prusa i3 mk3 currently.

Thanks!
Chris

Such a while back cant recall sorry, But anthing I do to get sizing is load it into Windows 3DBuilder whic you can easily scale in and has a ver cool ruler function, cheers Jace

Thanks I'll see what I can do. If I find an easier way or when I figure out what scale works for me I'll post it up.

Hi.
Can you give me some trick to make the silver paint look good?
Thank you.

Crome model paint for painting bumpers on model cars. normally sold in a 50mm bottle is really expensive. the key to any chrome paint is hours and hours of polishing ; )

You mean polishing the paint or polishing pieces before painting?

Yes definately polishing the pieces prior to painting. Need to be smooth as glass to give you the best finish.

Gloss black coat first will give you a deep dark chrome finish and gloss white under coat will give you a lighter dull chrome finish.

Here is a cool link on painting effects https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iygv4eqfyJM

A million thanks.

I may have missed it but that Cyberdyne Chip holder. Is that something you could direct me to please.

I have printed many Terminator things but this is just bad@$$! I love it and will print it.

Need to read up more on what you did first.

Link should be in the discription ; ) Cheers JAce

Terminator T800 cpu and case with stand (separate parts)

Wow this is amazing. I'm planning to do a wearable terminator endo skeleton and this will make an amazing starting point. If you ever make a wearable T800 skull/helmet that would be amazing.

Hi Eric,
Thanks, the model was undercoated and then I used a highgloss silver / Chrome finish. I then used a matt black paint to dirty it where I thought it would likely be dirty. I enlarged this model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1712690 to 6 foot in height and cut the chest and back of it.
The pistons I used from the arms and shrunk them to size. As for the tie rod ends I found some simular ones to these on Thingyverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2503634 .I used Windows free 3DBuilder to cut everyting up, it is really simplistic easy and so straight forward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A8rVi-ROkE I'm not a very good tidy file person and I rushed through this model for a mates birthday over a three wek period. If I get some time I'll see if i can find any more reference material but mostly every thing is here as explained in the details, Cheers Jace

Thanks for your help with this. I have a Mac so i started using MeshMixer and have been working on these pieces. I've sliced them, i just need to get them to the correct size and cut them in a way to fit on the print bed. When i finish, i can share them as a remix of your original project.. I figured i would ask if that's O.K. before i did however since I know you were thinking of selling your completed painted projects.
Also, I believe you used this head: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:455609 from Geofro or one very similar. Did you print it at the default size or do you know what size you ended up printing it at to fit the model?

by Geoffro

Sure your welcome to share a remix of my project. I look forward to seeing your end result. Yes that head is the same or simular as the other one but with a CPU. It is also a great print. As for the sizing, Windows 3Dbuilder has a built in ruller so when I expanded the model to 6 foot I took the width and height of the head and applied that to Geoffros T800 heads. So yes I would have adjusted the sizing to suit my needs but I dont have that information at hand sorry. But I remember I sliced a piece of the back so it could just fitted on my 200 x 200 print bed. Cheers Jace

Thanks!! Ill try this!

Jace,
Amazing work on this! I love the paint work you did on this! Did you print this in black, spray with silver paint, and then scruff the paint down to the black to look weathered? I also noticed in a previous comment you sliced the chest piece from another full T-800 model you have. I'm guessing you did the same thing with everything else in the chest area like those pistons for the shoulders and traps? Any chance you have all that laying around you could possibly upload? I tried to slice these myself but, I didn't have much luck.. lol..
Thanks!
Eric

Terminator Skull with CPU Core housing and Plug (Hi res, smooth no sanding version!)

when do they get bodies, are the going to do chores around the house?

Yep, on it - I've put a torso and legs on the big one and hes doing the gardening now ; )

will you update the pictures soon?

He's a bit camera shy, but I've other projects to finish, so it will be awhile unfortunately before I tackle this project, Cheers Jace

nice work, I would love to print this...

cool, yea this a bit of work there to be done ; )

Pretty awesome, just wanna know where do you get your burst center part ?

I sliced a section of the bust from the full model file attached, cheers Jace

Thanks job is done, could you share the measures of your center part ?

On holiday at the moment replying from my phone, will need to check when I'm home, but i just made the model 6 foot and then cut a piece of the bust off at that size, cheers Jace

creepy, but awesome.

Yea creepy is certainly a word to describe them, my boys think they look great, but spooks them in the low light, thanks Jace

They look pretty awesome. Looks like the end of humanity is coming from you living room.

Na, there all pretty sombre now after I reprogrammed them ; ) The big one in the middle gives me a little lip now and then but I keep threatening to take his arms away generally settles him down : ) ; )

looks fantastic. great job

Thanks Lexel, hes certainly been a labour of lover over the past few weeks. The reskulpting of the head done by local tallet Rob V really makes him, Cheers Jace

Thanks Nieky, hes mean as, I'm really chuffed with him, Cheers Jace
