Hi There.

I love the design so well done to you!
Can I ask one question please?....

Is the M8 threaded rod a T8 Rod or standard m8 thread?

I use standard M8 threads.

Ok, Thank you.
Will it matter if I use T8 ball screws?
I am struggling to find a brass nut with the standard M8 thread....

Use what you have! T8 threads will work fine. But oversized I think and not so cheap.

If I do go for standard M8 thread, Can you tell me where you got your brass machine nuts from please

That's great, Thank you...

Witch firmware you put on ramps

I orded a software pack (340 Euro) at www.devcad.com . If you will spent this money too, you will have no problems and a good overall solution. DevCam includes the driver to use arduino mega and ramps. Have a look to the webside.

Nice.
Would it be possible to make a Belt version ? cheaper and simple of a design I think

I do'nt know if a belt driven version works powerful enaugh. I'm happy with my screw driven one.

I use Nema 17 Stepper (2 Ampere). And Arduino Mega with ramps 1.4. Before start to print you have to realise that the software is your problem. You can try to find out working with some freeware. Building the machine is round about 150 Euro for parts and PLA. I have ordered most parts direct (ebay) from China. Bearings, Arduino and Stepper...
If you will do it better than make an invest in TR8 x2 threaded rods. They will run a little smoother than normal M8 rods I have used.

One query, I use engines Nema 17 of 26 N.cm ???

This is an excellent job, I can not wait to build one. I do not know if you can give me some guidelines for the electronic part, I'm not really good at this subject. Again lets congratulate you. first of all, Thanks.

I'm having trouble picturing how you would use this - could you post a short video showing it in action?

Sorry but my work is not ready until yet. I wait for the arduino board to run it. Endswiches are missed also. Video of maiden cut comming soon.

In the meantime there are lots of youtube videos, showing machines like this at work.

For example a machine I found on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXb0D4HiOQA I hope mine is without the terrible noises...
