Complete waste of time. There is no way that this design would ever be able to crush a can. This isn't a material problem, it is a design problem. The linkage just pops off as soon as you put any pressure on the lever. I don't even know why this is on Thingiverse because I do not think it is even physically possible for it to do it's intended job.

After printing this design and fiddling quite a bit with it, I think it's fair to say that at least with PLA, this doesn't have enough strength to crush a can. I'm not sure if the design itself is strong enough to crush a can, at least unmounted. Not sure why mounting it would add any strength, but there we go!

dude this takes over 20 hours to print with verry low quality settings. WHY

Will it work with plastic bottles if i raised the height of the machine?

where can i buy bearings and get them fast to norway ?

i keep 608 bearings around, but not 623's. any chance you can make one that takes 608's?

I'm right there with you. All my kids skate boards and scooters all use the 608 double shielded bearings so I have a ton of these on hand all the time.

Printed this out in eSun PLA+ at 213 and .2 layer height.

The back pegs holding on the ball bearing snapped off on both the left and right side on the first can.

same for me, by mistake i dropped the top plate on the ground and the little peg cracked off.

Are you sure the base can do with 25% infill? I've printed part of it like that and it seemed kind of brittle for what it needs to support.

Do you think it would work with out the mini bearings?

I didn't have any luck on a previous design without the bearings. The plastic on plastic wasn't allowing it to move smoothly up and down the track.

Have you made this? Does it work?

I have made this. It works but it is a little rough on handle and link. I'm going to increase the thickness on those to solve the problem.
