Good work though but it can cause problems to the more unexperienced. Besides that not being made in a cad software printed at 0.1 still shows the toolhead path trying to figure out the shape resulting in less than smooth surfaces. I started redoing these in fusion and waiting for a reply from elite dangerous game developers to let us print these properly :)

Assuming it was ripped from the game, it is bound to have bad geometry. It may print in small sizes, but larger than 25 cm prints tend to give the slicer a hard time.

It was ripped from the game yes but tremendous amount of work has gone into fixing, thickening, re-modeling the mesh to make it into a watertight shell. Like I said the slicers I used to print mine with all coped well with the model with default supports so I am unsure at what I can do better at making it easier for newbies to print:

Load the model
Use default slicer settings for supports
Print

This may print correctly depending on the slicer and experience but either fix the model or remove it, unexperienced users are prone to waste time and filament on it,

I made one on Prusa and one on Creality. Tried to fix the mesh in Meshmixer but the result was unusable. Printing as is requires a bit of fiddling with the slicer.

I am not quite sure exactly what you mean? The model shows no signs of bad geometry, layer errors or anything of that sort? They are fully water tight shells with no manifold geometry, overlapping faces etc. I have built this in pretty much any technology apart from metal sintering, FDM included with no problem and default supports. Screenshot of my Simplify3D preview windows attached.

Awesome - thanks!

hat happend to the model of the Federal Corvette?

Cannot slice either file with the latest version of Slic3r (1.2.9). "Unable to close this loop having xx points" appears a lot, and the layers are clearly all messed up. Curaengine looks OK but i've never used that - so going to try now :)

This is great! Any chance you could do the Eagle?

I can do the Eagle next yes hehe:) normal or Imperial?

Whichever you prefer! Awesome!!!
