What is the hole spacing for the 6 "mounting holes" in the middle all of the carriages?

Is it possible to adjust for 60x60mm instead of 40x20 rails?

Thanks
Daniel

Carriages is suppose to use 3 wheels - Solid V Wheels (openbuilds) 24mm (bigger then in original D-Bot/C-Bot

Well thought out, thank you for taking the time and effort to share. I am including this in my build.

It did take me a while with calipers to work out that the supporting blocks were designed to cut a thread from M4 bolts, but, hey, working things out is half the fun ;-)

thanks again.

Ron

Can you design the original wheel?
C/D-bot

I like the idea of regular wheels, has anyone tried using the regular wheel carriage with mini wheel X carriages?

whats size screws and bolts do we need?

Use description from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1839201
Its same for X and Y
For Z you need additionaly longer M5 ones for wheels. Will drop list later here

Modular carriage for 40x20 rails (using 3 solid V wheels)
by _MSA_

For one Z carriage I've used 1x60mm and 2x50mm M5 for wheels. This is only one change. To fix wheels on bolts use M5 nuts with nylon locks

is this setup made for mini v wheels? how is this remixed from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1839201

Modular carriage for 40x20 rails (using 3 solid V wheels)

Per description this is for Solid V Wheels (openbuilds) 24mm (bigger then in original D-Bot/C-Bot)
Remix was to make it usable to v-slot and adopt to D-Bot\C-Bot
The old one design was used on t-slot on my tevo tarantula

Thank you for the clarifiction. Do you know of a remix that is like this but is used for the mini v wheels?

Very nice work indeed, will be printing these out tonight :)

anything like this for 2020? I'd like to look at this for my FT5

You can try to mix z and xy carriages (take internal parts from xy, external cover from z) and you will get 2020..

If someone need, I can share step files to remix it. Also not jet uploaded e3d mount part that I am using for this setup. Will upload soon

Hi
I like the look of this as a universal mount. Can I take you up on the offer of the STEP files.
Thanks in advance
Lloyd

I would also like the step files.

The model "mbot_zc_p2_1" has a small gap.

What do you mean ? Whats the problem?

The upper biscuit does not fit snugly against the wall.

At last someone who knows how to design a carriage !

Very nice design! Looks very heavy duty. The x carriage looks like you also need new mounts for the hot end. The only thing I don't like about the z carriages is that I have things mounted to the vertical extrusions, and these types of carriages that enclose the extrusion preclude that, but that's just personal preference. Thanks for sharing your design!

For x carriage not jet uploaded e3d mount part that I am using for this setup. Will upload soon..

Added mount block for e3d hotend in files mbot_e3d_m1v2.stl,
mbot_e3d_m2.stl

Not a matter of preference, just good engineering. Rigidity is the key. Open and in plastic, il will give unless you make it a lot bulkier !.
